Incorporating technology in our classroom will help the students prepare for their future which will be intertwined with various pieces of technology. Having a few tablets in the classroom will help my students become more self-reliant, increase eagerness to learn and help students by being an incentive to utilize the Kindle Fire. My 3rd graders are part of a great financial literacy program that is online through Dojo, and we will need Kindle Fire technology in order to successfully complete the project. By completing their online financial courses, they will be entered into chance to win a college scholarship. It's never too early to begin preparing financially for college! They will also use the technology when they participate in National Lemonade Day that fosters entrepreneurship for young students like mine. The fire tablets will allow my scholars to be independent. They can work in small groups to work on their financial literacy projects as well as begin to plan for the National Lemonade Day!
