For my studets to reap the benefits of having one-on-one technology, they need to be able to fully utilize it on a daily basis. Students are using the iPads to practice letter names, sounds, blending words and sight word practice. It makes it very difficult for them to focus on what they are hearing with 20 iPads all reading different things. We also use our iPads for tests. With headphones, students will be able to focus all their attention on questions, without distractions from background noise. A class set of headphones would greatly decrease classroom disruptions during the use of technology. It would also make their time on the iPad much more interactive and beneficial to their learning.
