Building my classroom library is a major and an important goal for me this year. The classroom I entered did not have a classroom library, therefore I needed to gather as many books and materials as possible but I still feel that the literacy needs of my students can be enhanced further. I chose these books because of the range of topics and interests. Therefore, I will be able to use these books during small group instruction, guided reading and close reading. I truly believe giving choices of books to my students can influence them to create a love of reading. My students have many different interests and my goal is to reach as many of these interests as possible through this project. Please help me achieve this goal for my students!
