Hello!!! I started teaching in 2011 and it is my passion. I grew up knowing that the only profession I ever wanted to pursue was education. I have spent all of my time in Title 1 or near Title 1 schools. I love having the ability to teach more than just curriculum. To teach children character traits, unconditional love, grace and mercy are just a few of the things I love most. I love all of my students dearly and have a desire to solidify their learning in many different ways. When I ask my students what they know about Mrs. Daugherty's love they respond, "You loved us yesterday, you love us today and you'll love us tomorrow. Nothing we do will ever change that." I'm a wife and a mother of 2 boys. I have lived both sides of the great socio-economic divide. I was in the shoes of many of my students when I was in 3rd grade and I remember how tough it was.
