My students are very fortunate to have access to various genres, authors, and interest books in our classroom. However, our classroom is a mobile unit, so we have tile floors and our shelving and display space is limited. With taller bookcases and a rug, we can organize and display our book collections more creatively, and enjoy time together stretching out and reading them! Tall bookcases would make it easier for students to browse for books they are interested in as well as promote further investigation of new interesting genres, authors, series and topics. Having access to these books in our classroom is important because many of our students do not have access to books at home! Having a rug in our classroom would allow a comfortable space for students to interact and share their love of reading!
