With these materials I will be able to orchestrate escape rooms using 8th grade science concepts. We will be able to introduce, reinforce and review these concepts within a class period and reset them quickly for the next group of students. Escape rooms allow students to collaborate with one another to solve the puzzles and gain knowledge needed to be successful in 8th grade science. Science is considered a second language to most kids and we need exciting ways to teach concepts and vocabulary that isn’t always concrete. This project will pair nicely with the escape rooms purchased from another site.
