Kindergarten students learn best through play. They learn through exploring, feeling, and manipulating the world around them. I give them opportunities every day to experience their world through play. With being a first year teacher I do not have the resources to do this the way that would be the most effective for my students. Being a kindergartner is hard. They learn so much in such a short amount of time. Every concept they learn will be the foundation upon which all other knowledge is built. My goal is to make this experience as fun and motivating for my students as possible. I want to get away from using worksheets and use more hands on activities. By using these manipulatives I believe that my students will have the best opportunity to learn and grow. I believe that this will stretch their little minds further than doing worksheets or singing songs. I want nothing but the best for my students and will always strive to make that a reality!
