I hope to show the students, through the March series, that individuals and movements can influence our country for the better. I want them to understand that it is through engagement, dedication and a commitment to bettering their community that profound positive change can be made. The March series is a valuable resource to pull in students and keep them interested in one of the most powerful eras of American history. The graphic novels expertly chronicle the history of the movement, John Lewis, and how the issues dealt with pertain to democracy, our country and the progress of a people. In short, the work is fantastic for students to use.
