If my project is fully funded we will be giving kids with no verbal communication skills a voice. The materials that have been requested will be used to develop the children's alternate communication device into something that can be used in class for academic purposes. These materials will give children who have never spoken before the ability to answer questions and participate in class with their alternate communication device. Since these activities are easy to follow and provide great examples of positive social behavior they will be ideal for helping these kids. We hope that this will give us the ability in the future to test these kids and get a better understand of their comprehension levels.
