Hello my name is Cecil Thornton, I am an Interrelated teacher at Montclair Elementary. I have been in education for over ten years and as of four years ago I embarked on teaching Students with Disabilities(SWD). Teaching students with disabilites has been very rewarding on many levels. I take pride in teaching my students and watching them grow in the course of a school year. My goal as a teacher is to create a learning environment where students are excited about learning. Also I like to apply real world situations to our everyday learning. I believe when we apply real world situations to our classroom learning the students retain information better. How can this skill be used? What will I need for this skill? Appying these aspects makes the student aware of the importance of learning.
