Thank you for considering funding my classroom project. Your money benefit a variety of students with different needs. It is our job as educators to accommodate the students and meet their needs, it is not the job of the students to meet ours. With that being said, many students benefit from being offered flexible seating in a classroom. Flexible seating refers to alternative options rather than just a hard backed school chair. I am asking for help to provide my students with soft crescent chairs that can easily be moved around the room, a bean bag for my calming corner, yoga ball chairs that help students that bounce and fidget, and lap desks for students that like to sit on the floor to do their work. All of these items will help to meet the different sensory needs of my students and allow them to focus on the task at hand... learning!
