The focus in Language Arts is on developing critical thinking skills through reading and writing. Students often collaborate in groups to share information and their original documents. Collaborating helps them see a variety of viewpoints, and lets them help each other with organization, evidence for their claims and spelling and grammar. Having more chrome books available on a daily basis would benefit students immensely. Some students think better and write better when they word process as opposed to using paper, pen or pencil. Many struggle with spelling. Having access to chrome books would boost their confidence and strengthen their writing.
