Bringing Bouncy Bands into our classroom will give my students the opportunity to move and release energy as they work on their learning. This is called flexible seating. Flexible seating has been proven to help retain information by allowing their feet and legs movement that would otherwise be spent talking and fidgeting while trying to learn. Even bigger kids, such as my third graders, aren't built to sit still for long periods of time. They need to release energy in order to learn and grow! Bouncy Bands will allow my students a classroom where they are free to move at times when staying in their seats is a necessity. These will help increase the amount of movement throughout the day for my students which will help increase academic achievement.
