I teach Theater Arts at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Lithonia, GA. My students are tenacious individuals who have proven to be fearless and willing to work hard. Many of my students were new to theater arts and have since learned the value of acting, script and scene analysis, collaboration, self-awareness, and self-esteem; their progress is astounding and fills me with pride. My goal as an educator is to provide my students with opportunities that challenge them and allow them to explore academics in relation to real world scenarios in hopes of preparing them for life and to be productive global citizens. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. High School is a Title I school that services students all across the socio-economic spectrum. Regardless of their current situations, our school strives to encourage our students to reach and exceed their potential.
