All students need to learn life skills. The classroom does not have enough supplies or equipment to fulfill our needs. The items requested are needed to help teach students life and work readiness skills. Students do jobs around the school building such as vacuuming and cleaning these skills will transition to their home life. Students also do cooking in class and share a meal. This sharing of a meal fosters communication skills for students. Students also learn to work as a team for a common goal. Skills taught in the classroom benefits students as they transition to independent living.
