We are working on creating recycled wearable art. My 4th and 5th graders will be designing and creating a recycled accessory while my 6th to 12th graders will be designing and creating a wearable outfit. I feel that by having the students use recycled materials to create art, they will become more aware of how important our earth is to save. We have some recycled materials such as glass, metal, paper, bottle caps, plastics, etc. but we do not have all the tools needed to work with some of our materials. Also, we do not have options of tape, fiber threads, glues, wire types, and tools to work successfully with styrofoam. Students will design, create, and participate in a fashion show. They will also be required to create advertising posters, a colorful brochure, and newspaper articles to announce the show.
