Students today are being asked to do the opposite of what their little bodies are meant to do! Kids were born to move and be active! However, in most classrooms the furniture does not support this. As educators it is our job to offer multiple ways for students to show their learning. Then it should also be our job to offer multiple ways to receive that input. Students should be able to choose whether they sit, they stand, they are still or they need to wiggle. We need to have six wiggle chairs to get their wiggles out and focus! By providing students the option of the wiggle chairs it will let them get their wiggles out and still focus on their learning.
