The Chromebooks that I am requesting will benefit my students tremendously as they are similar to the ones used in our computer lab for state test taking. My goal with the new technology will be to create my own mini technology lab area so that the students can begin to complete research projects, listen to audio for pronunciation and find definitions of vocabulary words that they are unfamiliar with. It came as quite a surprise to me at the beginning of my teaching at a low poverty school, how many of our students had never used a computer or a laptop. This will also benefit them to learn to navigate laptops better.
