My students will use these various chapter books in their guided reading groups. My students have read several of the leveled readers in our classroom and they do not have the rich vocabulary or interesting plots that chapter books have. The more interesting and literature rich books they read, the more they will love reading. I started them with a chapter book I had searched several libraries to get enough books and their eyes lit up in excitement. I want to see that each week when we start a new chapter book. That is how my students will use these books.
