With the use of iPads in my classroom, the students' reach of knowledge can now expand beyond a bookshelf or their backyard. There are so many educational apps and online resources for all ages (covering a variety of subjects). With iPads in the classroom, families can also stay connected through their at home smart devices. I want to expose my students to life beyond their neighborhoods. When there is no money in the budget for a field trip, an iPad can take you there virtually. Let's face it, our young learners are technology savvy. We've all seen the videos of babies maneuvering through smart devices with ease. iPads are more than just a device for entertainment, they are a new avenue for reaching and keeping learners engaged. As an educator, I believe that it is extremely important to grow and change with our forever changing world.
