In first grade, we spend a lot of time learning on our classroom rug. The rug is a central part of our classroom. We read stories, learn math and play math games. The children also have time during reading to choose a spot to read independently. We are in need of a cozy, roomy carpet to help us learn in comfort. Learning is more fun when we are in a relaxed and cozy space. My current rug does not fit my entire class and the children are sitting close together which is not ideal for maximum learning. This new rug will be exciting because it will give each child a chance to feel part of our classroom community. Please help us continue learning in our first grade room with a donation to our class.
