These whiteboards will allow me to flip the traditional math class on its head. Students will be interacting together around whiteboards to collaborate on rich, real-world tasks. This will help ALL students learn, not just the ones that are able to successfully mimic what I do. After the year and a half that we just had, my students NEED something new to get them engaged. I envision students talking through problems, working with other groups, and really teaching each other, versus me standing at the front of the room droning on and on. Given the research I've studied, these whiteboards will go a long way to making the vibrant and lively math classroom of my dreams.
