Students will utilize these resources during our accelerated reading time as well as during our guided reading block. They will be able to read on their level and advance rapidly with the extra resources in our classroom. They will be able to practice more complex reading skills and reading comprehension strategies. This project will enable my classroom library to better address my students' growing needs by offering students a selection of books to choose from on their own reading level. Having new books will allow my students to read more challenging books and set their independent reading goals much higher. It will allow them to become more confident readers as their skills grow and develop. By having numerous reading options available, students will be able to read books that address their personal interests and inspire them to become better readers.
