Fifth grade is a time of transition and self-discovery, and the activities that my students will participate in at Camp Champions will help them shape their identities in incredibly positive ways. When students face their fears on the ropes course, or reach their goal on the climbing wall, it can change the way that they see themselves. The self-confidence that my students will gain is so important in empowering them to face challenges in the classroom, and in life. When students step outside of their comfort zones and learn new things about themselves, the impact can be life-changing. And by encouraging one another to do their best, my students will learn the value of community and supporting one another.

About my class
