Most of our school is outfitted with a Chromebooks, yet there are not enough pieces of technology for every student. Our students use the devices for EVERYTHING; from small group intervention to science based research, to self guided STEAM projects. Allowing most children in the class to have access would allow us to further utilize applications like Google Classrooms, Scratch and Epic. A generation born with technology should have access to it in the place where they spend the majority of their time. I also run a during lunch program called #GeekChic which teaches 4th and 5th grade girls crafting and coding. Additional Chromebooks would allow these ladies to further explore these areas.
