Students with Autism have various sensory needs when it comes to touch, pressure, sound, and light. With that said the phrase "when you met one child with Autism, you met one child with Autism" also refers to their individual sensory needs . Some students need figit toys, while others may need bite toys, wobble chairs, or pressure such as a weighted blanket. All the items on my list will be used in my classroom as well as assisting some students as they participate in the general education classroom with their non-disabled peers. This will allow students to have their needs met throughout the school.
