About my class

I am requesting a subscription of TIME for Kids to help my scholars continue their love of reading. Having this subscription will give them the opportunities to read about and be transported to the places in the weekly TIME for Kids Magazine that they would not otherwise have. They will use this subscription as weekly current events to read and report back to the class about. This will be used as a cross-curricular assignment between Social Studies and Language Arts/Writing classes. This subscription will help my scholars practice their reading, writing and presentation skills. Having adequate reading materials is instrumental in continuing my scholars love of reading and writing. They are exposed to new ways of life and new stories with every new story they read. By exposing my scholars to a higher level of writing with the TIME for Kids subscription, my scholars will also improve their vocabulary and fluency levels.
