My students are interested in pursuing a college education or career in Apparel and Textile Development. Students learn the industry and technical skill basics with a focus on construction and historical innovations along with design elements as they relate to the apparel and textile industry, along with an entrepreneurial component. Courses are designed to complement our many arts and performance classes at Northwest, Costume Design provides a solid foundation into research, design and construction production, as well as wardrobe management in a technically driven curriculum. Students have many opportunities to work theatrical productions as well as create fashion for our annual Spring Fashion Show. Sustainable fashion, recycled fashion and themed "lines" are also a part of our fashion show.
