I am implementing flexible seating into my classroom this year and I am so excited to see it grow and thrive! I currently have some flexible seating ideas and would like to continue to grow my options and give my students the most opportunities possible.
Flexible seating allows students to explore different seating options within a regular classroom setting. They can explore these options and then decided what seating option will work best for them from day to day. Some examples of seating options in my classroom are yoga balls, standing options, bath mats on the floor, and pillows. This Donor's Choose project will supply my classroom with some wobble stools. Wobble stools will provide students with the ability to wiggle slightly in their seat while sitting at a traditional table. I am confident this will allow for needed movement for active third graders, and also allow them to be successfully completing assignments. The stretchy bands in my project will attach to chairs and allow students' feet to stay active as needed throughout the day. I can't wait to see how these options impact my students' success this school year.
Thank you for your time and for taking my thoughts into consideration for funding my Donor's Choose grant! I can't wait .see it in action! FLEXIBLE, FUN AND FABULOUS!!!
