The scientific calculators will help the students on tests and quizzes. The students will also learn how to use the calculators in every lesson. This will also allow the students to check there work on a daily basis. The thirty scientific calculators will be used every day in our math classes. The seventh grade classes are allowed to use calculators on difficult problems such as geometry and trig. With your donation, the lower income classrooms will also have access to the technology. With the transition to Common Core Mathematics, students have been given larger, real-world problems that require technology at an earlier age. Introducing scientific calculators in the seventh grade means that the students will understand how to use the technology when they are in high school. Giving low-income students access to new technology gives the students an advantage when they go to High School and college.
