Our school's goal is for each student to complete 12 books for the school year. In order to help students reach this goal, we need to create a library of high-interest books. As a long-time educator, I've seen how the right book can turn a reluctant reader into an eager one. Books can be transformative, and I'm trying to create a reading culture that addresses both the many students reading below grade level as well as the ones reading well-above. In addition, we're now offering an Advanced Placement Literature class, but we haven't been able to obtain one of our books, Oedipus Rex, so I've included it here.
