Many of my students have limited resources not only in our classroom but in our community as well. Living in a world where technology is constantly changing, we are finding that our technology resources are extremely limited in the classroom. I am a firm believer of technology having a positive impact on students learning. Having an iPad and protective case as requested, in our classroom will give the students a new learning experience. Having technology in the classroom will give each student a different learning experience, engaging them in ways that will help their different learning styles. Using this technology will have a great impact on these little learner. My students would benefit immensely from having extra technology, such as an iPad, in the classroom. By working alone or in pairs, they would be able to utilize the iPad for reading and math. There are so many apps and websites that are out there to enhance student learning. Also, using features already on the iPad, students can use the voice recorder which could help them with reading fluency. Students can use the iPad to help learn Math, such as simple addition and subtraction. Finally, the iPad could help my students with their penmanship. They would be able to practice letter and word writing and developing their fine motor skills.
