Your generous donation to our class project will improve our classroom by giving us the tools and supports we need to become amazing readers. By using hands-on reading tools and games, the children in our class will be able to take charge of their learning and have the chance to work with sounds and words in a way that is meaningful to them. It is proven that there is a direct correlation between reading ability and academic success, and as a teacher of young minds I want to ensure that I am giving my students the opportunity to succeed. By using the Phonics Magnetic Word Building Boards, the children will be able to build a variety of words, sound by sound, all while learning to recognize spelling patterns that will help them become better readers. The Building Vocabulary Listening Center Skills Pack will serve as an independent activity with which the learners will work on literacy skills such as decoding and recognizing synonyms, all while working at a self-guided pace. The Vowel Teaching Tubs will serve as a hands-on activity that will reinforce the vowel sounds, which the children need to know in order to develop word recognition and decoding skills. These wonderful activities will be put to use during guided reading and literacy center time. They will be used often and tremendously appreciated!
