Flexible seating is a choice for students. Flexible seating allows students to take ownership of their learning by choosing the best space for them to work. During independent work time I have noticed that when you empower students to make the choice their quality of work increases! Not only the quality of their work but their motivation to do the work has increased dramatically! The materials I have selected will give students a variety of other options to choose from when picking their seat! Right now, we have beach chairs, standing tables and clips boards to work on the carpets. I want to be able to give them more of a selection when choosing their flexible seating space. The wobble seats allow students some movement and can be used in a variety of locations. The stools will be used for the guided reading table and can be moved around the classroom when a different seating choice is needed! With students moving their seats daily, they will need a place to store their materials. The three-drawer bins will be used to store students materials and keep them organized!
