There is more to music than just singing. Right now our students have access to two keyboards and a class set of rhythm instruments. Our students are inquisitive and are interested in other means of expressing themselves through music. They enjoy hearing and playing music. The ukelele is a way to teach music concepts while fulfilling state and national music standards for students to play instruments. I believe that having the ukeleles will allow my first and second-grade classes to express themselves individually and as a group of instruments. By introducing students to this equipment they will have a worldwide exposure with musical instruments.
