My students need a learning environment that is conducive to their various learning styles and levels of energy. As academic demands on little learners increase, it is in the best interest of the students to provide seating options that will empower them to make the best choices and maximize student focus, engagement and participation. My project goal is to be able to provide more flexible seating options for students to better suit their learning needs. My students currently use various floor pillows during quiet reading times with great success. I have several students that naturally prefer to stand or kneel to do their classwork, and others that need safe alternatives to wiggle while they learn.

About my class
