Being able to write on the Chromebooks allows the scholars in my class to receive feedback on their writing in real time, so they can immediately apply any new learning to their existing drafts without starting a new one. Having the set of Chromebooks will allow my classroom to have more student choice and let them write their persuasive essays about the social justice issues that they are passionate about. Being able to research using the Chromebooks will allow the students access to varied sources of current information, which will lead to more informed, relevant writing. Giving the students the ability to publish their work digitally also allows students who are self-conscious about their handwriting to share their work with pride and take ownership of the creativity and craft of their writing.

About my class
