New Chromebooks will take away many of the obstacles outdated computers are creating. My students deal with unresponsive touchpads, battery life shortfalls, and failing hardware on a weekly basis in class, but they persevere and still accomplish tasks beyond expectations. All of the devices at school are 10 years old or older, and have been donated to the school. The students are trying to learn from new resources using old equipment. New Chromebooks would make my students more efficient with their class time. They would be able to utilize all of the software options available through Google and learn how to work cohesively in the different web based programs. My students already show me so much and work really hard. I am excited to see what they can accomplish given the proper tools.
