Flexible classrooms gives everyone a choice in what kind of learning space works best. Do you work better standing? Are you more engaged sitting on the floor? Does sitting on a wobble chair keep you more focused? This ability to choose empowers students to take control of their learning, and ultimately produce their best work. Students are given the power of choice. Research shows that flexible seating has led to: ~improvement in student work ~happier and more engaged students ~greater student participation and more invigorating conversations The funding of this project will allow me to begin to transform my classroom into a learning space that meets the needs of all learners. Students will be able to work in ways in which they are most comfortable. The classroom environment will be warmer, more welcoming, and buzzing with engaged students working collaboratively in a more stimulating setting.
