Because language is acquired at different rates by different students, a language lab provides the opportunity to strengthen weaknesses and foster strengths in the same classroom at the same time. Whole class exercises are necessary, but language teaching needs to be differentiated for every student. The only to way to achieve this is by having individual laptops and headphones for every student. Due to economic constraints, I have limited my request to 10 students, since I can work with the additional students on a rotating basis. This would be an incredible advantage to our language program and provide individual support.
