My students word process their writing, take assessments online, research and strengthen their basic skills. The only problem is that there are currently 48 Chromebooks for 400 plus students in my school. They are familiar with these devices and I would like to get more to better support the learning in our class. Many students do not have access to computers or tablets outside of school, having these Chromebooks in the classroom will better prepare these students for their future. Chromebooks are the powerhouse my students need to achieve! We frequently have to wait to work on the computers and it slows us down! With five Chrome books in our class, students would be able to word process, research or strengthen their basic skills, when they are ready to, not when the Chromecart is available. They would be used daily, to publish written work, to use in centers, during class time and to reinforce as well as enrich student learning. This would be an incredible resource for my students to help them stay current with all of the educational opportunities available to them.
