"Sit still!" Many may have heard or said these words to children who appear to never stop moving. This is the exact opposite of what I want for my classroom. My students have special needs including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Movement is necessary throughout the day to increase productivity. The materials from this project will help provide students with the movement required to enhance focus and attention throughout the school day. These chairs allow for students to complete their work while wobbling in a small, controlled way. Active seating has been proven to help students with hyperactivity channel their energy in their seating while remaining on-task. By helping me with this project, you would be impacting the success and productivity of my special students greatly!
