Language learners spend the majority of their day immersed in English in the general education classroom. The pace of the academics can be overwhelming. In some rooms they will not hear a word of their native language all day. Access to technology can reduce the stress and anxiety of our language learners as well as increase their English vocabulary. Many students will use the tablet to access educational apps, view language videos and utilize translation services. One of the most appealing aspects of using the tablet is the privacy it will offer. Often times our older students need to learn skills of the younger grades. The tablet allows the student to find a comfortable space in the room to work on those skills without the fear of embarrassment.
