All students should foster a love for reading and there is just something about having your own copy of a book that you can circle words, underline important sentences and make comments in the margins. Year after year I see students want to write, highlight and engage with a text and they can't because they are taught not to write in the book. I don't want to spend another year making multiple photocopies of a book, but rather teach our children about responsibility and the importance of their education through books.
