The laptop will benefit my students by allowing them to use technology and become more familiar with technology. This may be the only way some of our students get exposed to the technology world. The laptop will provide opportunities for our children to gain the necessary skills to prepare them throughout their school years. We will use developmentally appropriate computer programs to help increase the children’s readiness to learn Reading and Math. Technology may provide basic skills in which children must have competency in order to be successful in school; skills critical for children to then engage successfully in higher-order thinking and applied learning. The playground equipment will help with their gross and fine motor skills. Play is incredibly important to the development of children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development, as well as creativity and imagination. Play is essential to brain development and the development of certain reasoning abilities.
