Legos, play dough, dominoes and craft sticks with velcro will not only excite my students but will also challenge their thinking. They will be thinking outside the box to construct structures like bridges, swings, houses and boats. My students will be engaged in creative tasks that encourage them to think like inventors. They will be challenged to figure out how to make their structures stronger and better. They will also be asked to reflect on their designs and explain the steps they took in making them, what challenges they faced and what parts they are proud of. My students will absolutely love being inventors and problem solvers.
