I envision my students working together on an iPad mini to program the robot Dash in order to learn the basics of computer programming. With a Dash computer programmable robot my students will be exposed to a level of computer science that they otherwise would not have access to. They will be the first group of students at my school to have access to a learning tool like this. This will give my students an advantage and may encourage them to pursue a career path they would have never imagined without the exposure to this innovative technology. I want my students to see that computers are actually machines that you can program to do what you want. Donations to my project will help shape the future as students are exposed to cutting edge technology. It is my goal for them to discover a whole new world of learning, play and adventure. Access to this technology will inspire them to do great things and will encourage them to want to seek a career in a field such as Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics. Their futures will be brighter as a result of this project being funded!
