My students are smart and full of learning potential. Unfortunately they come from very low social economic status and lack motivation towards education. For most of them, school is the only place where they are motivated to learn and where they feel great about themselves. They need lots of encouragement and recognition for they efforts. The school they attend is low in their AYP, which means that is not meeting benchmarks. The school was recently reinstated, and the returning students are facing lots of changes in the school staff, rules, and routines. However the classrooms are still the same and no adequate supporting materials are available for them.
