Preston Hollow students are eager to connect and learn more about other students, just like them, across the globe. We are in the infancy stage of implementing a recycling program in our school and need some help! We are in need of recycling bins in each classroom and an iPad for our classroom to give our students a means to connect with the world outside of these walls. Our students want to see a connection that their daily decisions have on people living in parts of the world that don't have similar luxuries. Although we have minimal technological resources in our classroom, we know it can be much worse in other parts of the world for other students. We want to be able to show our kids what that looks like through technology. Our students do not have the means to travel too far outside of the walls of this city, due to financial restraints, so we want to bring culture and understanding to them. We want to be able to connect our students with other students around the world to learn about various cultures and ways of life with the iPad that will be donated. We would love to give our students real world connections and emphasize how impactful their daily decisions and life choices are to those sharing their planet with them.
