The materials requested will help me in supporting my students in the STEM program. The materials will challenge them in hands-on learning opportunities that will keep them actively engaged and persist through tasks. Each item ordered will require students to plan and create solutions to real world problems. My goal is that students will have a chance to explore career options in the STEM field through the various learning activities. These materials will be an instrumental part of the learning that takes place in the STEM classroom as they design, build & evaluate their own STEM projects. They will provide opportunities for current and future students of the STEM program. The STEM Journal will be a handy tool used to keep all of the students' designs and develop their various projects. Having the other items such as the Renewable Energy Science Kit and the Don’t Lose Your Marbles STEM Learning Lab will help to facilitate learning about sustainable energy, measurement and data, force, motion, and inertia. Students will further get an introduction to robotics by learning to use circuits, switches, and pulley/gear ratios through the use of the Bristle Bots, the Balloon Helicopter Kit, and the Science Car Kit.
